\\biography

Welcome to my online residence/portfolio of sorts. My life is broken up into two primary sections (at least the vocational side of me): writing and leading a church community.

Places I write:

Stereo Subversion - A music webzine I launched August 2007 with a designer friend, Rob Alan. The mission is “Meaningful Music Exists” and we highlight a lot of music with interviews, reviews, downloads, blogs, etc. It’s a full service music stop and I love being a part of it.

Soul-Audio - Another music webzine we’re launching this spring focusing exclusively on the Christian music industry.

Relevant Magazine - I used to write for their Leader publication and website quite a bit, but now I’m focusing on their print magazine only.

HearSay - I write 3-5 reviews per month for this college music monthly print mag.

Rabbit Room - Andrew Peterson’s new website features conversation on art and faith and I’m one of the contributors to the site’s material.

Lost At Sea - This webzine has printed dozens of my reviews and interviews.

CCM - The newly defunct print mag became a place I wrote various features and reviews for.

HM Magazine - A hard rock magazine that I write various interviews, features and reviews for.

The other half of my life is spent with the community of The Mercy House - a church plant just north of Indianapolis. I serve as the primary teacher and pastor there and I’ve been there since we started in the fall of 2004.
